Junko Suzumoto
Junko Suzumoto, a Japanese married to Malaysian, introduced Waldorf education by starting a kindergarten in Penang, Malaysia in 1997. Formerly a teacher at Japanese government school and special education teacher, Junko studied Waldorf Education at Emerson College, UK. She has interest in artistic activities, and has conducted puppetry classes and puppet shows as well as craft making classes. Besides being a kindergarten principal and class teacher, Junko is also in-house trainer and mentor for other kindergartens and individuals. As a part of the workshop she will be sharing the over all aspects of child development and be conducting a Kindergarten class with practical matters like festivals, poems, puppet stories, string games and finger play etc. She will also introduce simple craft work and glove puppet making. It would be useful for those attending her workshop to bring along a sewing set.
