Henning Kullak Ublick

Henning Kullak-Ublick Friedrich (born May 28, 1955 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a German Waldorf teacher and founder of the popular initiative in school freedom. He is a board member of the Association of Waldorf Schools, the Friends of the Erziehugnskunst Rudolf Steiner's Association and the AG of Waldorf Schools in Schleswig-Holstein.
Kullak-Ublick grew up in Argentina, Brazil, Iran, Sri Lanka, Germany and England and visited during his childhood and youth seven different schools. After a year of training in Lower Saxony and extensive travel study agriculture in Giessen and Kiel, he gained practical experience of biodynamic farming system on the farm Eichwerder in East Holstein. The interest in the young in the 1980s at the organic farming and direct democracy expressed in his political commitment. In 1980 he was a founding member of the party Alliance 90/The Greens, and later a founding member of the organization more democratic.
From 1981 to 1984 graduated Kullak-Ublick training as a Waldorf teacher in Witten / Annen and took it directly to his work as a teacher at the Waldorf School in Flensburg, their governing bodies they belong since 1986. In 1994, Kullak-Ublick co-founded the action mature school, that began in 1995 with the Schleswig-Holstein popular initiative "school of freedom" for a legislative reform on equal rights for independent schools and government responsibility.

Kullak-Ublick lives with his wife Maren Kullak-Ublick (born Wackerhagen) near Flensburg. They have four children.
